Human interest stories: Football dream fulfilled and SMA charity theft

In Turkey, Firdevs Koparal, a young fan of the Fenerbahçe football club, fulfilled her long-held dream of attending a live match. Following an initiative by Adıyaman Member of Parliament İshak Şan, Koparal was transported to the Gaziantep Metropolitan Stadium in a specialized vehicle equipped for her needs. During the Gaziantep FK-Fenerbahçe match, she was able to meet several players and take photographs.

In a separate incident, a fundraising campaign for 10-year-old Fidan Ebrar Bayram, who suffers from Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), was targeted by thieves. A donation box placed on a street in Adana to fund her gene therapy in Dubai was broken into, and the contents were stolen. The girl's father, Mahmut Bayram, stated that the theft targeted the future of a sick child, while Fidan Ebrar expressed her distress, saying, “They didn't just steal money from this box; they stole my dreams.” Police have launched an investigation to identify the suspects.
