Brazil reports multiple bodies discovered in remote areas

A 22‑year‑old man, Vinicius da Silva Paz Von Groll, was found dead with gunshot wounds near the Rio Santo Antônio on the Brazil‑Argentina border in Santo Antonio do Sudoeste, Paraná. Police have sealed the area and are investigating possible cross‑border shooting.

In Rio Branco, Acre, a human skull and other skeletal remains were uncovered in the Preventório neighbourhood. Investigators link the bones to France Cordovez do Vale Souza, a 48‑year‑old mechanic who was being monitored by the justice system and is suspected to have been dismembered.

A decomposing body was discovered on the Contorno Leste avenue in the Flor do Leste district of Cuiabá, Mato Grosso. The victim remains unidentified and authorities are conducting forensic examinations.

In Linhares, Espírito Santo, a male corpse with tied hands was found in an eucalypt plantation near Cantinho Radiante. The remains are being sent for DNA analysis to confirm identity.

Rondonópolis, Mato Grosso, reported the finding of Aldo Antônio Rocha, 45, in an advanced state of decomposition inside a residential property in the Cidade Alta neighbourhood. Police have opened an inquiry to determine the cause of death.
