Human remains discovered in vacant lot in Ciudad Victoria

Human bone remains were discovered in a vacant lot in the Loma Alta neighborhood of Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas. The remains were found among the brush on Fraternidad Street, across from a minibus workshop, after a passerby alerted authorities.

Members of the State Guard and the Tamaulipas Attorney General's Office (Fiscalía General de Justicia de Tamaulipas) cordoned off the area to preserve the scene. Preliminary observations by forensic experts suggest the remains may belong to an elderly woman, based on hair characteristics, though no clothing was found with the remains.

Forensic and anthropological studies are being conducted to confirm the identity, sex, approximate age, time of death, and cause of death. An investigation has been opened to determine how the remains arrived at the location.
