Human rights advocates convene to address Gaza violations

Human rights organizations and legal experts are convening to address ongoing violations in Gaza. In Konya, Turkey, a session hosted at the Selçuklu Congress Center will feature testimonies from civilians, medical professionals, and journalists who have witnessed the conflict firsthand. The goal of this gathering is to document human rights abuses and present oral and visual evidence in accordance with international legal standards.

Separately, at the 5th Samarkand Human Rights Forum in Uzbekistan, Vasip Şahin, President of the Human Rights and Equality Institution of Türkiye (TİHEK), called for increased sensitivity from international institutions regarding the situation in Gaza. Şahin emphasized the need for a sustainable human rights system that bridges the gap between international obligations and local implementation, particularly in the face of armed conflicts and humanitarian crises.
