The Israeli military has destroyed a strategic network of Hezbollah underground infrastructure located at the Ali al-Taher ridge in southern Lebanon. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Defense Minister Israel Katz announced that the operation, which involved the use of over 1,100 tons of explosives, completes the establishment of a security zone in the region.

The destroyed complex reportedly consisted of eight underground galleries totaling approximately 5,400 meters in length. Israeli forces identified the site as a central command hub for Hezbollah's Badr division, containing residential quarters, weapon storage, and command-and-control facilities. Inside the tunnels, the IDF reported finding dozens of Iranian-made missiles, drones, machine guns, anti-tank weapons, and hundreds of mines.

The massive demolition triggered a 4.1 magnitude earthquake in southern Lebanon, as recorded by the US Geological Survey. Israeli officials stated the infrastructure had been built over two decades with Iranian funding and was intended to facilitate attacks against northern Israel. Israeli troops are expected to remain in the area to prevent Hezbollah from re-establishing its presence.
