HumanBench joke website measures human performance as AI parameters

A new joke website called ‘HumanBench’ has gained popularity by allowing users to take a benchmark test to see how many billions of parameters they would have if they were an AI model. Developed by Alex (@Alex_ybuild) and released on September 26, the site features a 76-question quiz that takes approximately 13 minutes to complete.

The quiz includes 11 questions based on common mistakes made by AI, such as counting the number of ‘r’s in the word ‘strawberry’ or comparing the values of 9.11 and 9.9. Based on the results, users are assigned a parameter count (e.g., ‘235B’), an architecture type like Dense or Mixture of Experts (MoE), a performance ranking, and an AI personality type.

While the site has become a viral trend on social media, the developer clarifies that it is not a real intelligence test and that parameter counts do not represent actual brain capacity. The tool is designed to run locally on the user's device, ensuring that answers are not sent to a server.
