Humanitarian aid efforts increase amid forest and land fires

Various humanitarian organizations and community groups are intensifying their response to forest and land fires (karhutla). In Banjarmasin, Rumah Zakat has distributed significant supplies to support affected communities and volunteers, including over 38,000 masks, 1,700 ready-to-eat meals, 15,000 liters of clean water, and various medical supplies such as vitamins and portable oxygen.

In North Toraja, the Anak Muda Jalan Serang (AMUJAS) community has provided logistical support and moral encouragement to the local Fire Department (Damkar) teams. While providing aid, community representatives expressed concerns regarding the local government's prevention efforts and the need for better public socialization regarding fire hazards during the dry season.
