Humanitarian appeals launched for medical treatments in Bosnia and Herzegovina
Humanitarian organizations in Bosnia and Herzegovina have launched fundraising appeals to support medical treatments for two children.
The Mali Anđeo Humanitarian Association is seeking aid for Anastazija Kočić from Orašje. Anastazija, who is 100 percent disabled and immobile, requires ongoing medical examinations, rehabilitation, and hematological follow-ups. Following recent medical checks in Croatia, including MRI and orthopedic consultations, she required a blood transfusion due to iron deficiency. Future treatments are expected to include neurosurgical consultations and urodynamic testing in Zagreb.
Additionally, the Pomozi.ba association has initiated an appeal for Rejjan Demirović, a child from Sarajevo. Rejjan was born prematurely with a complex congenital anomaly known as penoscrotal hypospadias. Because local medical facilities cannot adequately treat this specific condition, doctors have recommended surgical intervention at a urological center in Belgrade. The estimated cost for the required two to three operations is 13,691 KM.
