Humanitarian groups launch ‘Voice of Humanity’ call for Gaza aid

In preparation for World Humanitarian Day, leaders of various humanitarian organizations held a press conference in Istanbul to announce the ‘Voice of Humanity’ global call. This initiative will take place simultaneously across five continents and more than 17 countries on August 19.

Osman Nuri Kabaktepe, President of the Palestine Support Platform, emphasized that the movement aims to demand the opening of humanitarian corridors to Gaza. He stated that access to food, shelter, and medical supplies should be viewed as a fundamental right rather than a favor, highlighting the severe deprivation faced by civilians, women, and children due to current policies in the region.

The meeting included representatives from several organizations, including the Deniz Feneri Association, the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, the Sadakataşı Association, and the ÖNDER Association.
