Humanitarian initiatives organized in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina
Various humanitarian initiatives are underway in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina to support vulnerable populations and medical causes.
In Pleternica, Croatia, the Croatian Women's Society Pleternica organized a collection of essential food items and hygiene products at the local market. Part of the ‘VolonTIrajmo, kreirAJmo!–phase II’ program funded by the Ministry of Labor, Pension System, Family and Social Policy, the drive collected staples such as rice, pasta, flour, sugar, and oil, alongside soap, shampoo, and detergents to assist families in need.
In Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the association ‘Srce za djecu oboljelu od raka’ (Heart for Children with Cancer) hosted a humanitarian pop-up shop. The event supports the ‘Zlatni krug Sparkasse’ humanitarian walk and run, which aims to raise awareness about childhood cancer and fund rehabilitation for sick and cured children. The walk is scheduled to take place on September 6 in Visoko.
