Humanitarian Rubber‑Boat Race Raises Funds for Down‑Syndrome Sports Club in Vranjic

The civic initiative “Mjesto koje hoće živjeti Vranjic” organized its third annual “Zaveslaj za čišći Vranjic” rubber‑boat race to promote environmental awareness of the Vranjičko‑solinsko basin and the Kaštelanski Bay. The event combined a sporting competition with a charity drive, directing all donations to the Sports Association for Persons with Down Syndrome, known as “Bili tići.”

The race attracted local participants and raised over €4,000, which will support the association’s activities, including football tournaments and para‑diving programs. Organisers highlighted the goal of encouraging both children and adults to engage in community service and environmental stewardship.
