Humanitarian tennis and basketball tournaments in the Balkans raise funds for local beneficiaries
From August 6‑9, the traditional humanitarian tennis tournament at the Tennis Club “Nikšić” in Montenegro attracted over 100 participants from the country, the region and Turkey. All proceeds are earmarked for Nikola Bojanić, a former competitor battling a serious illness, with donations collected on‑site and from sponsors.
On August 8‑9, the 3×3 basketball tournament MARIONATA ZADAR took place on the Brodarica playground in Zadar, Croatia. Organized by the local Brodarica committee and KK Diadora, the event raised money for the community organization Cenacolo, which supports people recovering from addiction. The tournament featured a special “Zadar rule” format, a draw‑based team selection, and a program of personal testimonies and a stage performance.
Both events combine sport, community spirit and charitable fundraising, aiming to help individuals and local groups in need.
