Humanoid robot industry sees rapid growth in China and Vietnam

The humanoid robot sector is experiencing significant commercial expansion, particularly in China, as companies transition from technical testing to large-scale practical deployment. Chinese developers AgiBot and Unitree Robotics reported substantial revenue increases in 2026. AgiBot reported revenues of nearly 2 billion NDT in the first half of 2026, claiming a 43.1% global market share for its AI-integrated humanoid robots. Unitree Robotics also saw a 55.71% year-on-year revenue increase in the first nine months of the year, while industrial giant Siasun Robot & Automation reported a 76.6% revenue rise in the third quarter of 2026.

In Vietnam, the GRECO 2026 exhibition showcased various robotic capabilities, including robots that can dance, play chess, and prepare coffee. The Vietnamese industrial robot market is projected to grow from an estimated 112 million USD in 2025 to approximately 231.7 million USD by 2031. To bolster local technological capacity, AICAP Group announced strategic partnerships with the China Robot Industry Development Alliance (CDRA), AIBRAIN, and HUTECH University to connect domestic demand with international supply and enhance local software and algorithmic development.
