Humanoid robotics market projected to reach $554 billion by 2040
The humanoid robotics industry is entering a phase of long-term commercial growth, according to a report by market research firm Berg Insight. Annual shipments of humanoid robots are projected to rise from 16,000 units in 2026 to 26 million units by 2040, representing a compound annual growth rate of 63.7 percent.
During this period, the global market value for humanoid robotics is forecast to expand from US$ 890 million to US$ 554 billion. Market analyst Julia Wahlen noted that the industry has reached an “important commercial inflection point,” as companies move beyond prototype development toward scaling production and deploying robots in real-world commercial environments.
The competitive landscape includes more than 100 companies. Key players identified in the report include Figure AI, Tesla, Agility Robotics, Boston Dynamics, Apptronik, 1X Technologies, NEURA Robotics, Unitree Robotics, UBTECH Robotics, AgiBot, Leju Robotics, EngineAI, and RobotEra.
