HUMANOS 5.0 Summit to focus on human-centered AI

The International Academy of Innovation and Technology (AIITEC) and the Fundación Club de Lectoras Creciendo Juntas have announced the HUMANOS 5.0 Summit Internacional. Scheduled for October 28 and 29 at the Hotel El Embajador, the event operates under the theme “From algorithm to purpose.”

Zoraima Cuello, Executive Director of AIITEC, announced that 100 virtual scholarships will be awarded to leaders interested in participating. The summit aims to place humans at the center of digital transformation, addressing how to maintain critical thinking and human responsibility as algorithms influence education, work, and social opportunities.

The program will feature 27 experts from the Dominican Republic, Argentina, Spain, and Mexico, including seven keynote speeches and five panels. A major highlight of the event will be the signing of the “Dominican Manifesto for Human-Centered AI,” an initiative designed to secure commitments from the government, academia, civil society, and the business sector regarding the responsible development and use of technology.
