Humayun Kabir names son candidate for Reshiganj by-election

Humayun Kabir, Chairman and MLA of the Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP), has announced that his son, Ghulam Nabi Azad (also known as Robin), will be the party's candidate for the upcoming Reshiganj by-election in Murshidabad.

Kabir expressed high confidence in his son's victory, stating he is ‘110 percent sure’ of winning. He characterized the election as a direct contest between his party and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), asserting that other political parties will essentially be fighting against the ‘NOTA’ (None of the Above) option.

In addition to election news, Kabir commented on several social and political issues, including the Annapurna scheme, advocating for its expansion to all low-income women without employment. He also voiced support for reservation policies for SC, ST, and minority communities, emphasizing that these benefits should be available nationwide.
