Humboldt Del Norte Film Commission wins international LMGI Award

The Humboldt Del Norte Film Commission has received the Location Managers Guild International (LMGI) Award for Outstanding Film Commission/Office. The recognition was presented at the 13th Annual LMGI Awards in Santa Monica, California, following the commission's support of the production “One Battle After Another,” written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson.

The production, which filmed in Humboldt County in January 2024, provided significant local economic stimulus. According to Film Commissioner Cassandra Hesseltine, the project spent approximately $2.1 million in direct local dollars, resulted in 990 local hires, and utilized more than 90 local vendors.
