hummel launches replica shirts to support peace education

Danish sportswear brand hummel has launched the ‘2026 Peace Replica Shirt’ to support peace education initiatives. The project is a collaboration with Art Rights, the organization managing the copyrights of sculptor Nishio Kitamura.

The shirts are replica versions of the uniforms worn during the ‘HiFA Peace Memorial 2026 Balcom BMW Peace Match,’ an annual U-15 football match held between Hiroshima and Nagasaki representatives. The design follows the theme ‘Passing Peace,’ featuring symbols such as the Hiroshima Atomic Bomb Dome and the Nagasaki Peace Statue. To commemorate the atomic bombings, the shirts include the numbers ‘86’ for August 6 and ‘89’ for August 9.

Available in orange (Hiroshima) and blue (Nagasaki), a portion of the sales proceeds will be donated to the Hiroshima Football Association to fund activities that convey messages of peace to future generations. Pre-orders are available through the hummel official online store until August 23, with shipments expected in mid-October.
