Hummel unveils 2026 peace uniforms for Hiroshima‑Nagasaki youth soccer match

Denmark's sportswear brand Hummel announced new peace‑themed kits for the 2026 Balcom BMW PEACE MATCH, a U‑15 friendly between teams from Hiroshima and Nagasaki. The match, part of the HiFA Peace Memorial series, will take place on 7 August at the Hiroshima General Ground. The uniforms feature designs that link the two bombed cities – Hiroshima's Atomic‑Bomb Dome and Nagasaki's Peace Statue – along with symbols such as origami cranes and doves, embodying the slogan “Share the Peace.”

The event is organized by the Hiroshima Prefecture Soccer Association, whose chairman Junichiro Muneyoshi highlighted the importance of using sport to convey messages of kindness and fair play on the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombings. The match also includes a peace‑learning program the following day, with participation from Japan Football Association chairman Tsuneh Miyamoto and national team coach Hajime Moriyasu. Additional tournaments – a women’s U‑16 festival, U‑12 and international youth competitions – are scheduled throughout the year, all aimed at promoting peace education through soccer.
