Humpback whale and dolphins spotted off Cape May

A recent whale-watching tour near Cape May, New Jersey, featured a 35-foot humpback whale alongside approximately 80 bottlenose dolphins. While experts note that a 35-foot humpback is likely a juvenile or young adult, the sighting provided significant visibility for local marine life.

Observations from recent maritime excursions also highlight the intense feeding behaviors of humpback whales, such as bubble-net feeding. However, these sightings have raised concerns regarding vessel safety and marine protection, as small boats have been observed speeding through active feeding zones where whales are breaching and surfacing.
