HUN-REN announces research grants and new science podcast

The Hungarian Research Network (HUN-REN) has announced several new initiatives to promote scientific research and innovation. Through the HUN-REN Innovate 2026 program, HunrenTech awarded support certificates to 14 winners working in fields such as healthcare, biotechnology, agriculture, industrial digitalization, and physical research.

Supported projects include developments in anti-cancer therapies, personalized diagnostics, antibiotic resistance, vaccine and bacteriophage research, and treatments for diabetes and inflammatory bowel diseases. The program aims to transform scientific results into technologies suitable for industrial cooperation and market utilization.

Additionally, HUN-REN has launched a new scientific podcast series titled ‘NeurON’. The series features researchers discussing diverse topics including brain research, astronomy, green chemistry, biodiversity, artificial intelligence, and the future of aviation. The episodes will be available on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and the official HUN-REN website.
