Hundreds of Youth Attend Religious Events in Spain and Colombia

The Hermandad Matriz of Almonte organized the XXXVI Encuentro de Jóvenes Rocieros near Huelva, gathering around a hundred young participants to learn about the traditions and preparations for the transfer of the Virgin of Rocío. Activities included making paper flowers, arranging rosemary on the procession sticks, and visiting Almonte to see how the town prepares for the Virgin’s arrival in August.

In Cúcuta, Colombia, the Diocesan Youth Pastoral hosted the Rosario Color Run 2026, a faith walk that brought together hundreds of young people. The participants prayed the mysteries of the Rosary along a route from the diocesan curia to the Malecón, concluding the Youth Week with a display of the Blessed Sacrament and a worship concert. The event highlighted the role of youth in the Church’s evangelizing mission.
