Hung Vuong Hospital awarded Labor Hero title
Hung Vuong Hospital has been officially awarded the title of Labor Hero in the Renewal Period. The recognition was presented by leaders of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee in honor of the hospital's historical contributions and its evolution from a small maternity house in the early 20th century to a leading specialized obstetrics and gynecology hospital for Southern Vietnam.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, the hospital's medical staff played a critical role in frontline combat and established the HOPE Center to care for newborns whose mothers were undergoing COVID-19 treatment. The hospital has also achieved international recognition by obtaining the Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS) certification.
In addition to the award ceremony, the hospital inaugurated a new unit for non-invasive uterine tumor treatment using High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU). City officials encouraged the hospital to continue advancing digital transformation, improving professional expertise, and ensuring that high-tech medical services remain accessible to the poor and policy-beneficiary groups.
