Hung Vuong University hosts workshop on AI and digital banking security

At a workshop hosted by Hung Vuong University in Ho Chi Minh City, experts discussed the application of AI in risk management and fraud detection within digital banking. The seminar focused on enhancing security in digital environments and training human resources to combat evolving cyber threats.

Lecturer Ho Quy Thuan advised students to go beyond merely reading fraud warnings by actively verifying requests for money transfers, even when they appear to come from acquaintances. He introduced the concept of combining AI with Zero Trust access control, a model that evaluates risk based on user behavior, information, and devices to determine whether to allow access or require additional authentication.

Participants emphasized the importance of protecting personal information and passwords, noting that data can sometimes be leaked through relatives. Experts suggested that students should share digital security knowledge with family members who may have less experience with the internet to ensure collective protection.
