Hung Yen authorities investigate discovery of infant body in Tra Ly River

Authorities in Hung Yen province are investigating the discovery of an infant's body in the Tra Ly River. The body, found inside a plastic bag during a search for two missing persons on September 13, was identified as a male newborn. Initial assessments suggest the infant had been deceased for approximately two to three days at the time of discovery.

Local officials from Nam Tien Hung commune have issued a public notice to assist in the investigation. They are requesting information regarding any suspicious circumstances, such as women in late-stage pregnancy or recent childbirth who have disappeared or are showing unusual health symptoms. Authorities are also urging medical facilities and private clinics to cooperate in verifying recent births and postpartum care records to help identify those involved.
