Hung Yen authorities prosecute business owner for counterfeit Apple parts

Authorities in Hung Yen province have initiated criminal proceedings against Phung Thi Nhung, owner of the Thang Tran Mobile business, for infringing on industrial property rights. Investigations revealed that between December 2025 and May 2026, Nhung sold counterfeit Apple-branded phone back covers for repair and replacement services. The total value of the infringing goods is estimated to exceed 550 million VND.

The Hung Yen Provincial Police reported that they have processed 181 cases involving 226 individuals related to intellectual property violations, with total infringing goods valued at approximately 800 million VND and fines exceeding 1.5 billion VND. Authorities have advised consumers to verify product origins and documentation when making purchases.
