Hung Yen Football Club launches following KBC takeover

Hung Yen Football Club has officially been established following the takeover of the former Tre PVF-CAND club by KBC Hung Yen Joint Stock Company. Through its subsidiary, Hung Yen Investment and Development Group, Kinh Bac Urban Development Corporation (KBC) now indirectly holds a 91.34% stake in the entity managing the club.

The club is set to compete in the 2026/27 Vietnamese National First Division with the primary goal of securing promotion. The squad consists of 28 players, largely inherited from the PVF-CAND roster, including notable names such as Mac Hong Quan, Huynh Tuan Linh, and Duong Thanh Tung. Head coach Bui Doan Quang Huy has a limited seven-week preparation period, and the team currently continues to train at the PVF Center as they lack their own dedicated facilities.

Following the official registration with the Vietnam Football Federation, the Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee held a launch ceremony to introduce the club ahead of the new season.
