Hung Yen police arrest Trần Bảo Chương and seven others in online gambling case

The Hung Yen Provincial Police expanded an investigation into online gambling, identifying 59 gambling transactions totalling nearly 6 billion VND between 10 Oct 2025 and 25 Jan 2026. The primary suspect, 18‑year‑old Trần Bảo Chương of Thực Tầm village, was charged under Article 321, Clause 2 of the 2015 Criminal Code (amended 2025).

On 2 July 2026, seven additional residents of Hung Yen – Phạm Quang Huy, Nguyễn Ngọc Sơn, Hoàng Khắc Long, Lương Văn Đường, Ngô Văn Tiến, Nguyễn Văn Luân and Phạm Đức Tài – were also charged and placed under a travel‑restriction order. The investigation remains ongoing.
