Vietnam law enforcement conducts multiple traffic and safety operations

Various law enforcement agencies in Vietnam have conducted multiple operations targeting traffic violations and public order. In Hanoi, police launched a month-long intensive inspection of commercial transport vehicles starting August 26. During these checks, officers discovered a passenger bus on Highway 32 carrying excessive cargo, including a motorcycle placed among passengers.

In Nghệ An, authorities used surveillance cameras to issue fines to 60 individuals for traffic violations committed during football celebrations. Meanwhile, in Hưng Yên, police intercepted a motorcycle without license plates, which was identified as stolen property.

In other incidents, a collision in Khánh Hòa resulted in a motorcycle fire that spread to a truck, though no casualties were reported. In Huế, police apprehended a fugitive wanted for gambling during a routine passenger vehicle inspection. Additionally, a video in Thanh Hóa has sparked debate regarding the legality of stopping vehicles in the wrong direction on wide roads.

In Thailand, a 19-year-old Grab driver, Thanakorn Chansuk, received widespread praise after he and two bystanders successfully intervened to prevent a woman from falling off the 200-Year Bridge over the Mun River.
