Hung Yen province advances infrastructure and asset repurposing

Hung Yen province is implementing initiatives to repurpose surplus public assets and advance major infrastructure projects. To prevent waste following administrative restructuring, the province is converting unused government buildings into functional spaces. For example, in Hoan Long commune, a former administrative headquarters has been transformed into nine classrooms for Dong Than Primary School. Additionally, the former Department of Natural Resources and Environment building is being renovated for use by the Customs Sub-department Region IV, with expected occupancy by October.

In terms of infrastructure, the Hung Yen People's Committee is preparing for a major road construction project connecting Pho Hien ward to Hung Ha commune. The project, estimated at 16,470 billion VND, spans nearly 16km and is scheduled for the 2026–2028 period. The road will feature six motor vehicle lanes and a design speed of up to 120km/h. Local authorities have been instructed to begin land clearance and resettlement planning early to facilitate the project.
