Hungarian Acting President Forsthoffer Ágnes Approves Government Personnel Changes

Acting President Forsthoffer Ágnes, who has been temporarily exercising the powers of Hungary’s head of state, signed a series of personnel decisions affecting the government. She appointed a new state secretary to the Justice Ministry, Bán Dániel, alongside existing officials, and approved the dismissal of four deputy state secretaries while naming five new appointees across six ministries. The reshuffle also saw the reassignment of senior civil servants, such as the removal of Belényesi László from the Ministry of Economy and Energy, who will now lead a directorate within the National Development Centre.

In parallel with these administrative moves, Forsthoffer Ágnes publicly rejected an invitation to the traditional Anna‑Ball in Balatonfüred, stating, "We must close the period marked by honorary items and free meals." She also exercised a decorative honour, awarding the Hungarian Order of Merit (civilian division) to Finnish ambassador Pertti Juhani Anttinen for his work promoting Hungarian‑Finnish relations.
