Hungarian artists Marika Oszvald and Bogi Puskás-Dallos share career reflections

Hungarian cultural figures Marika Oszvald and Bogi Puskás-Dallos have shared reflections on their personal and professional journeys.

Marika Oszvald, a prominent operetta icon and recipient of the Kossuth and Jászai Mari prizes, discussed her life spanning over half a century. Growing up in a modest cottage in Kispest, she was raised by opera singer Gyula Oszvald and subrett Marika Halasi. Despite her parents' initial hesitation to let her pursue acting early to avoid burnout, she began performing as a child in Debrecen, notably appearing in Puccini’s Madama Butterfly.

Singer and Megasztár judge Bogi Puskás-Dallos spoke about her rise to fame as a teenager and her subsequent struggles with impostor syndrome and anxiety. She noted that therapy helped her gain self-awareness and the ability to process the pressures of sudden stardom.
