Hungarian athletes achieve success at European championships
Hungarian athletes have delivered notable performances at recent European championships in swimming and athletics.
In swimming, Németh Nándor achieved a national record in the 100m freestyle with a time of 47.44, narrowly missing the final. He noted that the 4x100m freestyle relay, which secured European gold, serves as a significant motivator for future competitions like the World Championships and the 2028 Olympics. Additionally, Márton Richárd secured second place in the 200m butterfly behind Léon Marchand, while Sárkány Zalán earned bronze in the 800m freestyle and silver in the 1500m.
In athletics, Molnár Attila competed in the 400m individual event and the 4x400m relay. He reached the 400m final but expressed a need to improve his energy management to reach the podium. His relay team finished fifth in the 4x400m final.
