Hungarian athletes achieve success in basketball and gymnastics

In basketball, the Hungarian national team secured a victory against Poland with a score of 69-55 during the Slovenia Ball tournament. After a competitive first half where Poland managed to equalize at 18-18, Hungary regained control with a strong 12-0 run. Bencze led the scoring with 18 points, while Konecsnyi contributed 9. This win allows Hungary to advance to the finals against the runner-up of Group B.

In gymnastics, Hungarian athletes Csenge Bácskay and Gréta Mayer qualified for the vault finals at the European Championships in Zagreb. Bácskay finished fifth in the qualifying round, while Mayer finished eighth. Despite these individual successes, the Hungarian women's gymnastics team finished 14th overall, failing to secure a spot for the upcoming World Championships in Rotterdam.
