Hungarian banks announce scheduled system maintenance and service outages

Several major financial institutions in Hungary are scheduled to undergo planned system maintenance, which will result in temporary service disruptions and slowdowns for customers.

MBH Bank has announced multiple maintenance windows. In early October 2026, services including MBH Netbank, the MBH Bank App, and MBH Direct Bank will face limited availability or total outages. During these periods, customers may experience issues with bank card transactions, online shopping approvals, and instant payments. Specifically, push notifications for online purchases may not arrive, requiring SMS-based 3DS confirmation instead.

K&H Bank and UniCredit Bank are also affected by scheduled updates. K&H Bank has noted maintenance periods in late September 2026 that will impact e-banking, mobile banking, investment services, and the K&H SZÉP Card. Additionally, MBH Bank reported a brief period of potential ATM downtime in late September due to system developments.
