TasteAtlas, an online guide for traditional foods and local gastronomy, compiled the list based on user reviews. The platform utilized 2,163 verified votes to ensure the ranking reflected authentic preferences while filtering out bots and excessive local bias.

In Hungary, cherry soup is a summer classic typically served chilled. While its sweet profile might lead some international diners to mistake it for a dessert, it is traditionally consumed as a starter.
