Hungarian culture gains international recognition in film and music

Hungarian cultural achievements have gained international recognition in film and music. The film ‘A szeretet nyelve’, created by Marcell Cséfalvay, Borbála Fendrik, Dóra Simay, and Katinka Tóth, won a bronze medal at the UNICA International Film Festival in Switzerland, competing against 79 other works.

Additionally, Oscar-winning director László Nemes Jeles has released a trailer for his new film, ‘Moulin’. Set in 1943 occupied France, the psychological thriller depicts the conflict between Jean Moulin, a leader of the French Resistance, and Gestapo leader Klaus Barbie. The film is scheduled for Hungarian theatrical release on November 12.

In music, Iván Fischer, music director of the Budapest Festival Orchestra, has launched personal social media channels to share insights into rehearsals and concerts, emphasizing the role of music in maintaining truth and trust in a world of digital uncertainty.
