Hungarian cycling athletes compete in BMX Europe Cup and underground cyclo-cross

Hungarian cycling enthusiasts are preparing for a unique racing weekend in Budapest. The 15th Kyokei Underworld Cup will take place on October 10 at the Merkapt Sport Center, featuring a 1.7-kilometer course that includes racing through the Kőbánya cellar system. The event offers various categories ranging from youth to masters, including a hobby race. Due to the capacity limits of the underground sections, participation in those specific heats is restricted to 70 riders per race.

In international news, the Hungarian BMX Racing national team competed in the season-ending European Cup rounds in Zolder, Belgium. Despite having only one official training session on the newly constructed track, several athletes achieved notable results. Gergő Táp reached the semi-finals on both days, finishing 13th on Saturday and 10th on Sunday. Other competitors included Bendegúz Kocsis, Barnabás Kiss, Kata Kocsis, and Hanna Táp, who all gained valuable experience in a highly technical international field.
