Hungarian defender Markgráf Ákos signs five‑year deal with FC Copenhagen

Twenty‑one‑year‑old Hungarian international defender Markgráf Ákos has transferred from Újpest FC to Danish Superliga champions FC Copenhagen. The club announced a five‑year contract running until the summer of 2031, with reports that the transfer fee was about €1.5 million. Ákos, who can play as a centre‑back or left‑back, will wear the number 6 shirt.

FC Copenhagen coach Bo Svensson praised the signing, noting Ákos' speed, physical strength and versatility. The player expressed his ambition to help the club retain the Danish league title and to develop his own game. Ákos had only made a single league appearance for Újpest before the move, after joining them earlier in the year from the Puskás Academy.
