Hungarian edtech firms propose AI integration framework for schools

Following low PISA scores in Hungary, several prominent edtech startups and professional organizations have issued a manifesto regarding the role of artificial intelligence in education. The initiative aims to integrate the expertise of internationally recognized Hungarian companies into the national educational system to help students and teachers bridge existing knowledge gaps.

Key contributors to the proposal include imagiLabs, BOOKR Kids, Redmenta, and Logiscool, alongside professionals from PwC and STRT Holding. The proponents argue that rather than banning AI, the focus should be on establishing frameworks for its responsible use. They suggest a ‘third way’ that avoids both total prohibition and unrestricted access, emphasizing that students should first define their learning goals before selecting appropriate AI tools to assist their thinking process.
