Hungarian Education Office sets July deadline for university admissions changes

Hungary’s Education Office announced that university applicants may upload any missing documents and adjust the order of their selected programmes one time through the electronic E‑felvételi system until July 9, 2026. Changes are limited to rearranging the programmes already listed; new programmes cannot be added. Applicants can also update personal contact details by the same deadline.

Documents issued after specific dates (e.g., secondary school certificates after 1 Jan 2006, language certificates after 1 Jan 2003) need not be uploaded unless they differ from the electronic records. Foreign applicants have until July 15 (16 for Romanian candidates) to submit required documents. Admission thresholds are expected to be published on the evening of July 23, with final placement decisions available by July 31, and SMS notifications are sent to students who provided mobile numbers.
