Hungarian football sees record transfer revenues and EA SPORTS rating debates

Hungarian football is experiencing significant developments both in the digital sphere and the professional transfer market. In the EA SPORTS FC 27 video game, Liverpool players Dominik Szoboszlai and Milos Kerkez received their new player cards. While Szoboszlai saw an overall rating increase from 83 to 86, he and his teammates expressed dissatisfaction with his shooting stat, which was rated at 83 despite his reputation for long-range goals.

On the professional front, the Hungarian NB I league has seen a massive surge in transfer revenue, totaling approximately 38.3 million euros in a single summer window. This marks a record-breaking period for the league, with nearly twenty Hungarian players moving to stronger foreign leagues. Notable clubs such as ETO, Ferencváros, ZTE, and MTK all reported significant earnings from player sales, contributing to a total that matches previous record years and potentially increasing the financial independence of Hungarian clubs.
