Hungarian footballers Ádám Somogyi and Patrik Demjén suffer serious injuries
Two Hungarian professional footballers have sustained serious injuries that will sideline them for several months.
Ádám Somogyi, an 18-year-old midfielder for Kispest Honvéd and a member of the Hungary U21 national team, suffered a fractured tibia during a national team training session. The injury is expected to keep him out of action for at least three months, with a full recovery potentially taking longer. Somogyi has been a key starter for Honvéd this season.
Patrik Demjén, a goalkeeper for MTK Budapest, sustained a fractured fibula following an incident at his residence. MTK Budapest confirmed the injury occurred during an event unrelated to football. Police have launched an investigation into the incident, which took place in the player's apartment building. Demjén is expected to be unavailable for at least one and a half months.
