Hungarian government holds two-day summit in Erdőbény
The Hungarian government is holding a two-day out-of-town cabinet meeting in Erdőbény, located in the Tokaj-Hegyalja region. Prime Minister Péter Magyar reported that the intensive discussions have been exhausting but remain hopeful as the administration works toward its stated goals.
Key agenda items for the summit include the national economy, the budget, the restructuring of public administration, water management, energy policy, and the climate situation. A significant point of discussion is the potential removal of the food price cap, an issue the Prime Minister noted requires consultation with supply chains and food industry stakeholders due to its impact on agriculture and small retailers.
Other economic considerations include inflation, food prices, and energy market processes. The meeting is taking place at the 7th Training, Education, and Regeneration Center of the Hungarian Defense Forces.
