Hungarian government orders audit of 4iG Group relations

The Hungarian government has issued a resolution to conduct a comprehensive audit of the relationships between the state and 4iG Nyrt., including its direct and indirect subsidiaries. The investigation will focus on ownership, financial, economic, and contractual ties.

Several ministries are tasked with the oversight, including the ministries of economy and energy, defense, finance, and science and technology. Minister of Science and Technology Zoltán Tanács stated that the investigation is in the public interest to ensure that taxpayer money is used appropriately and that contracts, particularly in the space and IT sectors, serve the interests of Hungary.

According to the resolution, relevant ministers will provide public information once the individual investigations are concluded. Until such time, no conclusions may be drawn regarding the findings of the audit.
