Orbán Viktor addresses Tusnádfürdő Tusványos, outlines Fidesz’s future direction

Former prime minister Orbán Viktor will speak at the 35th Tusnádfürdő Tusványos (Bálványosi Summer Free University) on 25 July 2026. He announced his appearance with a three‑word social‑media post – “Voltunk, vagyunk, leszünk!” – and posted 15 photos of himself heading to the festival. The speech is expected to shift from traditional opposition rhetoric to an “resistance‑policy” narrative, stress party renewal, critique the rule of law, and outline the party’s strategic direction after the 2022 electoral loss.

Government records show more than HUF 202 million in public funds have been spent on Tusványos travel and logistics for Orbán and his delegation over recent years. A debate on euro adoption, led by the National Bank’s deputy governor, was also held on the festival grounds, reflecting broader economic discussions.
