Hungarian grocery app Kifli.hu adds ChatGPT‑powered shopping assistant

Kifli.hu, a Hungarian online grocery retailer, announced the integration of OpenAI's ChatGPT into its platform. From July, customers can use natural‑language conversations with ChatGPT to search for products, receive recipe suggestions, compose weekly menus and add items to their cart on both desktop and mobile apps. After the chat‑generated basket is built, users are transferred to the standard Kifli.hu checkout to confirm and pay.

The rollout is supported by Rohlik Group’s own AI infrastructure, including a Model Context Protocol server that enables secure connections between AI models and applications. Kifli.hu also continues developing its proprietary AI assistant, Maia, which offers similar Hungarian‑language support for the entire shopping journey.
