Hungarian Handball Federation launches disciplinary action against two clubs

The Hungarian Handball Federation (MKSZ) has initiated disciplinary proceedings against two clubs, Dunaújvárosi Kohász Női Kézilabda Akadémia (DKKA) and Mothersom Mosonmagyaróvári KC, for submitting false statements during the licensing process.

Marcell Sveda, the MKSZ director of competition organization and monitoring, confirmed that these submissions constitute disciplinary offenses. The federation's ethical and disciplinary committee will handle the cases, which may result in measures extending beyond the sport itself.

DKKA, facing financial difficulties, failed to secure a license for the second division and has instead submitted its entry for the third division (NB II) for the 2026/2027 season. Club leadership expressed surprise at the disciplinary action, noting that their initial application was incomplete due to a lack of documentation from previous management rather than intentional falsification.

Mosonmagyaróvár KC received its top-flight license only after supplementary documentation was provided. Additionally, the federation noted reports from players at various clubs regarding unpaid wages, a situation the MKSZ monitors by notifying the relevant organizations immediately.
