Health Minister Hegedűs Zsolt opened a parliamentary session by declaring that Hungary’s health system is "very sick" and blamed the Tisza‑led government for chronic under‑investment. He also pointed out that the Tisza faction has only partly delivered on promised drug‑price cuts, while the Fidesz‑KDNP coalition has reduced drug costs by roughly 40‑50 % (or 40‑50 forints per item). By contrast, the previous government spent 12.3 billion forints on a non‑existent “Tisza‑ad” consultation and related propaganda campaigns.
