While Budapest saw a 0.9 percent monthly rise, its annual growth rate has moderated to 8.3 percent, significantly lower than the national average. In contrast, Pest County saw a monthly increase of 1.2 percent, and annual growth there reached 15.6 percent. The supply of newly built homes has increased substantially, particularly in Budapest and Debrecen.

Parallel to housing trends, financial reports highlight challenges for Hungarian households. A study by Provident reveals that 28 percent of the population exhausts their entire monthly income by the end of the month, a rate significantly higher than in neighboring countries like the Czech Republic or Poland. Despite rising real wages, many households struggle to build savings due to the high cost of living and previous inflation.

Additionally, voluntary pension funds and health funds are seeing increased popularity. Pension fund membership reached 1.061 million people, with total assets exceeding 2.5 trillion forint. Health funds have also seen growth, with a notable increase in funds being used for mortgage repayments.
